This was recommended to my niece by her doctor, who said some women don't process folic acid into its usable form, folate. This seems to run in families, which is the reason I started taking it. It consists primarily of folate, B-12 and other B vitamins. I've been on it for several years now. I get a 90 day supply automatically shipped, but you can buy each bottle separately for the same price if you prefer. My neurologist is very pleased with my B-12 numbers, as I have had problems with my immune system in the past. All in all, this compounded mix of vitamins is an excellent supplement. It is excellent for vegans, who have to take extra measures to get enough B-12 from their food consumption.
