I first started taking the basic enzyme by Douglas Labs maybe 15 years ago. I don't have a gallbladder. I switched to the Ultrazyme for the added Ox bile, because I am doing the keto diet. I thought the added Ox bile will help with the break down of fat in my diet. I can't say that I see any difference, but I feel more secure knowing my pancreas is not over loaded. I have been very pleased over the years with the quality of Douglas Labs. My Chiropractor said everyone should take extra enzymes after 50 years old due to our Western diet and depleted soils. I respect his opinion greatly, but truthfully, I started on the enzyme years before he reinforced the need for enzymes. I feel protected using the Ultrazyme every time I eat. The cost is a good value as well. I also take Douglas Labs Magnesium Oxide at bedtime. I can't live without both products and I make sure I never run low on either product.
