My chiropractor recommended Arthroben when I told her that I had been told that I needed a hip replacement due to no cartilage on the hip joint, thanks to a botched surgery. When I first started taking it my fingernails were very thin and bendable. Now that I have been taking it for 6 months my nails are nice and thick and firm, no more splitting! I need to constantly cut them back now, no problem growing them long. I also have less pain in my left shoulder, and can sleep on my left side now. For years I was unable to sleep on my left side because of something, maybe a tear in my left shoulder, I don't know, it's never been diagnosed. And I hope that over time the Arthroben will help to lay down new cartilage on the hip joints, knee joints. I don't have the benefit of estrogen for that function because I'm taking a drug, FEMARA, for breast cancer, that inhibits the production of estrogen in the body. From what I can easily observe that the Arthroben is doing with my fingernails, I'm sure there are other unobservable things that it's impacting inside the body as well. It's expensive but I hope it is well worth the expense, since we are living longer and need our bodies to last longer without having to have joints endlessly replaced. I have started giving it to my husband too. We mix it in hot water and have it like tea before bed. The unflavored version is nice mixed in Kombucha if you like to have it cold. The Lemon-Lime is wonderful mixed with hot water. The Apple flavor and the Lemon-Lime are both nice and sweet without sugar, thanks to the stevia. Wonderful flavors they've come up with, you won't get tired of them. The auto-ship program makes it so convenient to not run out
PS the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of five is because I am waiting to see if I notice better function in my really bad left hip, which I hope to notice as the cartilage regrows. Stay tuned!
